Day One: "It's been a long road to get here but the support has been amazing" says Kinley

Manx swimmer Laura Kinley came sixth after competing in the Women's 50m Breaststroke Semi-Finals at the Commonwealth Games on Friday night.

The 25-year-old qualified earlier in the day with a time of 32.34secs at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre in Birmingham.

She later finished in sixth with a time of 32.47secs in the semi-finals.

Laura is next scheduled to compete in the Women's 100m Breaststroke heats on Monday.

She's determined to focus on progressing through the Games and said the support back on the Island had been amazing:
