Isle of Man Swimmers were back in action at the Aquatics Centre this evening.
After Guy Davies set a new ‘Isle of Man’ record in the 100m Breaststroke this morning, it was evening in Australia when he was knocked out in the semi-final. He finished 14th overall in the Men’s 100m Breaststroke with a time of 1m, 4.91sec.
Davies will be back in the pool on Sunday, competing in the 50m Breaststroke.
Meanwhile Charlotte Atkinson achieved a 5th place in tonight’s 100m Butterfly Final. She completed the swim in 57.88 seconds.
Australia took a Gold, Silver and Bronze with the wining time being 56.78 which was a new Games Record.
There’s no rest for Atkinson as Saturday sees her compete in the 50m Butterfly and then on Sunday, four lengths of the pool in the 200m Butterfly.
