After a multi million pound rebuild and refurbishment, the former Mount Murray Hotel has reopened its doors as the Comis Hotel and Golf Resort.
Developers bought the complex in 2016 after its previous owner Albert Gubey died. The complex has been closed since 2015, just over a year after a fire destroyed most of the accommodation block.
But this week, the new resort opened with a major e-gaming conference and next week the restaurant will open to non-residents.
The Comis Hotel aims to be a destination resort with fresh bright rooms, including family rooms, accessibility and also pet friendly bedrooms.
The Resort’s Marketing Manager Seamus Byrne explain that the hotel will undergo a phased opening with leisure facilities coming on stream in the new year:
