Dog rescued after falling down sinkhole

A dog had to be rescued after falling down a sinkhole in the south of the Island.

Castletown Coastguard crews were called out after the dog fell at the Lime Kiln at Scarlett last Friday.

The officers had to use harnesses and descend from the top of the kiln to gain access to the dog, who had fallen down further into a sink hole.

The team was able to rescue to dog and return it unhurt to its owner.
