Some Manx residents who submitted their tax returns at the start of the tax year had to wait six months for a refund.
28 of the 2,650 people entitled to a refund didn't receive payment until October, despite submitting their returns in April.
Almost 3,300 people who got their paperwork in in May were entitled to a refund, but 59 had to wait until October, while one only received their refund this month.
Over 13,000 tax returns were submitted in the first two months of the tax year, but only 1131 were assessed by the Income Tax Division during the same period.
More than 550 returns filed before the end of May weren't assessed until after the end of the August.
The figures were revealed in response to a written question in Tynwald.
