Manannan turns back following medical emergency

A ferry heading to the Isle of Man had to turn back to Liverpool following a medical emergency.

The Manannan departed for Douglas just after 7pm yesterday, but had to turn back shortly after if left Pier Head.

An ambulance met the vessel when it docked again, and the crossing got back underway just before 8.20pm.

The Manannan arrived in Douglas shortly after 11pm.
