Ben returns to Douglas due to medical emergency

A medical emergency forced the Ben-my-Chree to return to Douglas earlier.

The vessel left for Heysham shortly after 8am, but had to return soon after because of the on-board medical emergency.

A passenger was transferred into a waiting ambulance once the ferry arrived back in the Island.

The Ben left again just after 9am, and the Steam Packet Company is warning there may be a slight delay to this afternoon's return crossing as a result.
