A technical issue and tidal conditions mean passengers travelling to the Island by sea today are facing a delay of more than five hours.
The 2.15pm crossing to Douglas from Heysham will now leave the Lancashire port at 7.30pm.
The Ben-my-Chree was more than three hours late arriving in Heysham because of a fault with the vessel, resulting in passengers on this morning's crossing spending almost seven hours at sea.
Once engineers fixed the problem, the Steam Packet Company announced that issues caused by the tide will delay the return sailing further.
Meanwhile, the 7.45pm crossing to Heysham will now be operated by Manannan and leave at 9pm. Full details of all the changes can be found on the Steam Packet's website.
