Boat catches fire in Douglas

Fire crews tackling the boat fire this morning.

Fire crews from Douglas were called out this morning to deal with a boat fire.

The incident took place shortly before 9am at Circus Beach near the Douglas Harbour Lift Bridge.

Officers found a small fire at the aft of the boat, which was in the process of being decommissioned.

The fire was quickly put out and the vessel checked for hot spots before fire crews left the scene 45 minutes later.
