OFT warns dishwasher owners about safety risk

People are being urged to check the serial number of their Hotpoint and Indesit dishwashers to make sure they are safe.

The Office of Fair Trading issued a warning after a safety scare with the EOS platform model.

Trading Standards inspector John Peet  says anyone who has an affected dishwasher should report it and stop using it until it's been checked by the manufacturer:
