One thousand poppies in Ramsey to commemorate WW1

One thousand crosses will be planted in Ramsey to commemorate the outbreak of the First World War.

The Royal British Legion is creating a 'cross of crosses' on Sunday, August 10th, which will take pride of place in Mooragh Park.

Dave Llewellyn is the secretary of the northern branch, he says within it there will be 112 black crosses to highlight the men killed and who are named on the town's war memorial:
