Peter Karran is to be given a new job within government after being sacked as education minister.
The Chief Minister has announced some changes to the line-up of political members in government departments.
It comes after Tim Crookall was given Mr Karran's old job and Graham Cregeen appointed to take over at Community, Culture and Leisure.
Mr Karran becomes a political member for Home Affairs.
Mr Bell believes Mr Karran can work within government, despite things not working out for him at education.[play media file below]
John Houghton will take over from Graham Cregeen as Chairman of the Water and Sewerage Authority, subject to Tynwald approval.
Further changes include:
Alan Crowe MLC to leave the Department of Home Affairs, remaining a member of the Department of Economic Development.
Leonard Singer MHK to leave the Civil Service Commission, joining the Department of Health and the Public Sector Pensions Authority. Mr Singer will remain a member of the Department of Social Care.
Dudley Butt MLC to leave the Public Sector Pensions Authority, joining the Civil Service Commission. Mr Butt will remain a member of the Department of Health.
Onchan member Zac Hall is now the only MHK not to have a job within government.
