Police ask fans and followers for feedback

Mon, 04 Jul 2011

The Island's Police are looking for feedback on their social media pages.

The Isle of Man Constabulary has been trialling Facebook and Twitter for a month as a way of getting information to the public.

During this period they've gained over 3500 fans on Facebook, and around 1000 followers on Twitter.

Posts have included details of crashes and road closures, as well as appeals for information following criminal damage, and even for help tracing missing people.

Inspector Derek Flint is looking for comments, and can be contacted by emailing derek.flint@gov.im
