Constabulary looking for new officers

The Island's police will be looking for new recruits again in the new year.

The application process for the student officer training programme began this week, with training commencing in January.

It's the sixth recruiment drive by the constabulary since January 2007.

New trainees also get the opportunity to undertake a foundation degree in policing.

Successful candidates will take part in a 30 week training programme.
