Registrations now open for Santa Dash

Sat, 02 Dec 2023

The annual Santa dash will be returning to the streets of Douglas on December 20 at 12:30pm.

Registrations are now open for the Isle of Man Bank Charity Santa Dash, which starts outside the Isle of Man Bank on Prospect Hill, Douglas.

The one mile run is free to enter and open to under 18s (with under 15s being asked to run with an adult who must also be registered) and aims to raise funds for a range of Isle of Man charities.

As well as encouraging runners to raise sponsorship, the Isle of Man Bank will donate £3,000 to charities that have been selected by bank employees, including Isle Listen, The Children’s Centre, Crossroads IOM, Manx Wildlife Trust, and the Isle of Man Foodbank.

To ensure the safety of all competitors, some roads will be closed for a short time. These are:

  • Prospect Hill from Hill Street to Victoria Street and the full length of Victoria Street from 12.30 – 12.45 at the latest.
  • Finch Road from the junction with Crellin’s Hill to the junction with Mount Havelock from 12.30 – 13.00 at the latest (please note: exit from Chester Street car park will not be possible during the road closure, entrance will be possible via the Market Street entry ramp only).
  • Finch Road from the junction with Mount Havelock to the junction with Prospect Hill from 12.15 – 13.15 at the latest.
