Are you single? Tinder not working? Sight Matters have got you covered.

The charity that provides vital support to the Isle of Man's blind and visually impaired community, is calling on courageous local singles to participate in its fundraising event, Blind Date that is scheduled to take place on February 9, 2024.

Look, dating isn’t easy nowadays – take it from one that knows; especially on an Island where your tinder runs out of ‘people in your local area’ within ten swipes, or then being bailed on 15 minutes before the proposed date.

Thankfully Sight Matters have a solution and it goes like this:

  • Contestants will rely on a series of thought-provoking questions to select their potential partner, who remains hidden behind a screen.
  • Following the selection process, the lucky couples will be treated to a date at a beloved local establishment, the name of which will be revealed on the night.

The Blind Date event will take place in front of a live audience at The Legion – even better, your friends can enjoy the date with you!

Interested individuals can access the application form on Sight Matters' official website or by visiting Corrin Court in Onchan, The VIP Store in Strand Street in Douglas.

Want more information before potentially meeting the love of your life, or just a good story for the group chat, then give Sight Matters a call on 674727, or email events@sightmatters.im.

To secure a chance to participate, prospective contestants are requested to complete and submit the application form to Sight Matters by November 30.

All proceeds generated by the event will be directed towards supporting Sight Matters' crucial mission of making a tangible difference in the lives of the blind and visually impaired community on the Isle of Man.
