Members of the public are “encouraged” to register for the second Isle of Man Government Conference in order to engage with Government and guest speakers.

The event takes place on September 20 from 6:00pm – 8:40pm, and all day on September 21 at the Villa Marina.

This year’s event will focus on; education and skills on September 20, and finance and budgets and housing and infrastructure on September 21.

Alongside these topics, the agenda comprises presentations on topics including planning, healthcare and the economic strategy, as well as panel Q&A’s with Ministers.

Chief Minister, Alfred Cannan MHK, commented: “Planning is well underway for the second annual Government Conference taking place next month. This year’s event serves as a pivotal opportunity to come together, provide progress updates and foster in-depth discussion on key areas for the future of the Island.

“We have put together an agenda which features a variety of different presentations and Q&A sessions giving the public the chance to ask Ministers important questions as well the opportunity to hear a wide range of perspectives through independent key guest speakers.

“We hope people take the chance to engage with the important topics on the Conference agenda and to listen and input thoughts and opinions to work to the goal of creating a secure, vibrant and sustainable future for our Island and the changes needed to make that happen.”
