New piece of legislation will 'improve' local authorities says DOI Minister

A piece of legislation going through the House of Keys today (13 June) could make it easier for residents to access minutes from local authority meetings.
 
Infrastructure Minister Chris Thomas says the Local Government (Amendment) Bill 2023 ‘updates’ and improves the operations of the Island’s commissioners.
 
He believes it will also clarify boundary areas and the way byelaws are taken to Tynwald.
