Local female involved in possible scam

Mon, 19 Dec 2022

Police are appealing for information following reports of a local woman involved in a possible scam using IOM buy and sell sites.

Officers are investigating after receiving information that members of the public are being scammed after placing items for sale on Manx Buy and Sell sites.

The members of the public have made arrangements to sell items, goods have been exchanged and bank details given. No payments have been received from the person for any items.

The common theme amongst these incidents is that a female, aged about 20 years has turned up at given locations and the victims have given similar descriptions of this female.
