Several roads remain closed due to ice

A number of roads remain closed on the Isle of Man due to ice.

The Mountain Road will remain closed overnight due to dangerous road conditions on the tops. Workers from the Department of Infrastructure will resume work on Thursday morning make the surface safer.

A department spokesperson said: "The current closure order expires at 12 midday tomorrow. If conditions improve sufficiently we will look open the road earlier than this."

Isle of Man Constabulary also confirm the following routes remain closed:

  • A36 Shoulder Road (South Barrule to Ballkillowey)
  • A27 Dalby Road (Dalby to Round Table)
  • Ronague Road (Round Table to Corlea Road)
  • Beiin Y Phott Road remains closed
  • Tholt Y Will Road remains closed
