Equestrian: HOYS Victory For Manx Girl Bass

Manx girl Lola Bass has claimed a 1st place at the prestigious Horse Of The Year Show (HOYS) in Birmingham this morning.
The 15 year old, riding her own pony "Landslow Melody Maker", jumped one of only 2 clear rounds out of 18 starters in the 143cm Working Hunter Pony of the Year class.
Lola who studies at King Williams College during the week, has spent most weekends flying back and forth to enable her training and to compete in events.
She has been based in Shropshire for most of the season with showing producer Sarah Challinor.
They picked up their HOYS qualification in mid-June after winning their qualifying class at the Malvern Three Counties Show, they continued to train and compete at various other shows across the country notching up notable victories along the way.
