FC IOM Suffer 5-1 Defeat at Congleton Town

FC Isle of Man have lost 5-1 in their away game today against Congleton Town.

The Cheshire side set the mood in the very first minute when Shakeel Jones-Griffiths scored for Congleton. Six minutes later Daniel Needham put another past the Raven's Keeper and it was 2-0.

Manager of FC Isle of Man, Chris Bass snr said that Congleton were the better side from the start.

By half time the Raven's were trailing 3-0 with Thomas Pope scoring just before the break.

Bass made some changes to the line up going in to the second half putting three at the back.

Congleton's Richard Duffy put another one home, but shortly after, the Raven's Chris Bass jr hit back and scored.

As the clock ticked, the powerful Cheshire side were looking unbeatable as another goal went in , this time from George Sankey who scored in the 70th minute.

At the final whistle it was Congleton Town 5, FC Isle of Man 1.
