Fisheries Officers from DEFA rescued and relocated 10 fish from a pool in Kirk Michael today.

Low water levels caused the fish to become stranded where they would possibly have died.

A passer-by spotted the fish and alerted the fisheries team who were able to attend and remove the fish.

They were released in to the Sulby River.

DEFA officials have appealed to members of the public to contact them if they see any stranded fish.

Officers can be reached on 685857.
