Pharmacy to disperse medicinal cannabis products

An on-Island pharmacy has been successful in their application for a licence to dispense cannabis based medicinal products.

The procurement exercise for this service recently closed, and following evaluation of responses, one local pharmacy has been offered the licence. The Manx Government said it is now working through the contract formalities with the pharmacy to commence the service at the earliest opportunity, aiming to have the provision in place in the coming months.

The successful candidate will provide an import and dispensing service for medicinal cannabis products to residents with a private prescription.

The successful pharmacy will be announced next week.
