Plans have been submitted for a memorial to five Isle of Man police officers killed while on duty.

Isle of Man Constabulary said the black granite memorial will bear the names of five officers who died while serving between 1852 and 1976.

The marker would been installed at Police Headquarters in Douglas.

The officers named on the memorial are: John Craige, John Wright, Jack Cretney, Gordon Black and Denis Hamer.
