Applications open for Manx Sport and Recreation Coach Award

Year 11 students on the Island are being invited to take part in a project that will see them learn how to lead sporting activities for children and offered the chance to work as a sports coach.

The Manx Sport and Recreation (MSR) Coach Award will start with a training week on 18 July, before participants are taught a range of coaching skills over the next 10 months.

The Award is structured so participants build confidence, develop communication and organisational skills, and gain real life experience alongside qualified coaches.

Those that complete the course in April 2023 will receive certifications needed to progress as a qualified coach and offered a casual coaching position with MSR.
