DHA shares plans for an array of solar panels at Carnane

The Department of Home Affairs have submitted a planning proposal to use solar power for emergency services communications.
 
The application is for an array of 40 solar panels at Carnane telecoms mast, which will power the DHA’s use of the mast to host TETRA radio coverage for the emergency services.
 
Local Democracy Reporter Sarah Hendy spoke to Andrew Quayle, the DHA’s Estates Manager, and Minister for Justice and Home Affairs Jane Poole-Wilson, who says it’s a positive step for the department:
