Kirk Michael has a new commissioner.

 

Duncan Livingstone was elected to the board in yesterday’s by-election with 141 votes to opponent Sosthene Boussougou, who was unsuccessful with 102 votes.

 

Voter turnout for the by-election stood at 19%

 

Mr Livingstone takes the seat made vacant when Barry Murphy stood down from the commission last month.

 

He told Local Democracy Reporter Sarah Hendy, this is not his first foray into politics:
