Amber weather warning for coastal overtopping as Storm Barra set to hit

An Amber weather warning for coastal overtopping has been issued for the Isle of Man.

The warning will be in force from 9am tomorrow until 3am on Wednesday.

Several road closures will be in force from 12pm until 4pm on Tuesday due to coastal overtopping:

  • Douglas Promenade
  • Greensill's Corner to Port Jack
  • The Promenade Walkway Parking will be suspended from 7pm Monday evening.
  • Ramsey – Mooragh & Queens Promenade. Laxey Promenade, entire length.

Castletown and Shore Road (Gansey Pottery) and Port St Mary will see less significant amounts of water and debris.

Motorists are advised not to park in these areas.

A yellow warning has already been issued for wind.
