Queen's Pier restoration trust receives big boost

Phase Two of the restoration of Queen’s Pier in Ramsey will soon be underway thanks to a grant from Manx Lottery Trust.

£50,000 has been awarded to Queens Pier Restoration Trust from the Dormant Assets Fund, which is being distributed by Manx Lottery Trust on behalf of Isle of Man Treasury.

With 60 bays in total, the Queens Pier Restoration Trust is restoring the pier bay-by-bay and the grant will cover the costs of materials for a bay on Phase Two of the project, including steel, wood beams and railway sleepers.
