Cannabis dealers both given suspended sentences

A man and a woman who dealt cannabis through a social media app have been given suspended sentences.

25-year-old Liam Waldrum and 21-year-old Gabriella Hay from Douglas sold the drug through Snapchat last year.

BBC Isle of Man reports the pair both pleaded guilty to supplying the drug.

Police searched the pair's home in May last year and found a small amount of cannabis, as well as seizing two phones.

Investigating officers found notes on how they planned to profit from selling the drug online.

The pair were both given eight-month suspended sentences.
