New Year Dip raises thousands for charity

Thousands of pounds was raised for local charities in Ramsey after hundreds took to the sea on New Year’s Day.

294 people braved the cold in what was the tenth Chilly Dip.

Bunscoill Rhumsaa and the RNLI will receive a share of the £2,595.96 raised.

Commissioners in the town said the event this year was “extremely well supported” and congratulated all those who took part.
