New tram tracks dug up after fault is found

A section of the new red concrete in the centre of Douglas promenade is being dug up and replaced.

It’s after a problem was found with the tram tracks that run within it.

The faulty rails in the Strathallan area will also replaced at the expense of the contractor.

Infrastructure Minister Tim Baker was asked about the situation by Isle of Man TV’s Paul Moulton. (Click here for audio)
