Firefighters tackle house fire

Firefighters have tackled a house fire in Onchan.

Crews from Douglas were sent to Lhonvane Close in the early hours of this morning.

The first crew in attendance deployed a team in breathing apparatus and using a hose reel they quickly knocked the fire in the kitchen/ dining room area.

Crews remained in attendance for about an hour while they vented the property to clear of smoke.
