Weather warnings for gales and coastal overtopping

Wed, 19 Aug 2020

Two weather warnings have been issued for the Isle of Man.

An amber warning for coast overtopping will be in force from 11am until 3pm tomorrow. Forecasters say high spring tides and strong winds are expected to lead to significant coastal overtopping.

Areas at risk include the central and northern parts of Douglas promenade, Castletown prom, Shore Road, Rushen, Laxey prom and parts of Ramsey prom.

A yellow warning for gales will also be in force from 2am and 7am on Thursday.
