IOM among first countries to abolish social distancing rules

The legal requirement for the Island's population to socially distance is to end on Monday.

Howard Quayle has confirmed the change but says it will still be required in some environments, including health and care facilities.

It's after the Island recorded a twenty-second consecutive day without a new case of Covid-19.

Public Health IOM says 'local elimination' of the disease will be achieved next week if the Island reaches 28 days with no new cases.

Mr Quayle says the decision to abolish social distancing rules will give residents more freedom in their daily lives:
