2nd case of COVID-19 confirmed on Island

Chief Minister Howard Quayle has confirmed a second case of COVID-19 on the Isle of Man.

The patient recently returned to the Island from the UK.

The Public Health team has been in touch with the patient to provide advice and support, and will start contact tracing.

Mr Quayle also confirmed in today's daily briefing that the Villa Marina, Gaiety Theatre and NSC will close to prevent the spead of coronavirus.

People are being asked to avoid busy areas such as pubs, bars, nightclubs and restaurants.

Ronaldsway Airport and the seaport will remain open with details being gathered of all those arriving on Island.

The Education Minister confirmed schools will stay OPEN across the Island but parents can withdraw pupils with no sanctions.
