Teenagers urged to join Police Youth Scheme

Tue, 10 Mar 2020

Teenagers who are interested in learning more about police work are being encouraged to join the Island's force as cadets.

The Isle of Man Police Youth Scheme wants to recruit 16 students in Year 10 and 11 to take part in the two year programme.

The scheme provides participants with an opportunity to learn what it takes to become a police officer, with practical lessons based on real-life scenarios.

The deadline for applications is Friday 17th April 2020. The new intake will start on Thursday 3rd September 2020.

Application forms can be obtained from the Police Youth Scheme Facebook page or by emailing programme coordinator PC Michael Griffiths at michael.griffiths@gov.im
