The IOM MET Office has issued two Yellow Weather Warnings.

A Coastal Overtopping warning will be in place between 1 am and 4 am tomorrow, with great to gale force southeasterly winds developing for a time tonight.

Slight overtopping of water and debris is expected around the time of high tide tonight at 1:55 am mainly for Ramsey, Laxey and Douglas Promenades, and parking should be avoided in these areas where possible.

From 10 am on Saturday a Severe Gales warning will be in place until 6 am Monday Island-wide.

The anticipated arrival of Storm Dennis will bring spells of rain, heavy at times, for part of Saturday.

Gales or severe gales, with a risk of gusts to storm force, are expected on Saturday when winds could reach speeds of up to 70 mph.

Residents should expect travel disruption and minor structural damage in places.

Some coastal overtopping may also occur near the time of high tides.

Detailed warnings will be issued from the MET Office when required nearer the time.
