University College Isle of Man is holding an Information Morning tomorrow.

The free event is open to anyone considering furthering their education and training, where they can discover the range of learning options available at UCM.

UCM Vice Principal, Geoff Chatwood said: 'This event gives you the opportunity to meet with tutors from all subject departments and discover the wide variety and breadth of courses that we offer.

'All our lecturers have substantial working experience in their subject related sectors and are therefore well-positioned to give you the best advice about opportunities available to you and how that might fit with your future career goals.'

A discussion on apprenticeships entitled, ‘Look Beyond’, which coincides with the UK National Apprenticeship Week’s theme this year, will take place, where people will learn about the range of apprenticeship programmes that UCM offer, as well as their benefits.

A representative from the Department of Education, Sport & Culture (DESC) will also be available to explain how they support students and businesses undertaking apprenticeship programmes.

Visitors will also have the chance to explore the wide range of facilities at the University College, including ‘realistic working environments’ which are learning spaces that re-create workplace settings around the campus.

The Information Morning will take place on Saturday 8th February between 9.30 am and 12 pm, at UCM, Homefield Road, Douglas.
