Mail not delivered yesterday to be sent today but still no airmail

Thu, 23 Jan 2020

Isle of Man Post Office is advising its customers and suppliers of its service delivery for today.

They said that mail not delivered yesterday will be delivered today, as well as mail which has been received via boat this morning.

However, due to circumstances beyond IOMPO’s control, no airmail has been received.

The IOMPO Customer Counter at Postal Headquarters is now open and all business services will resume as normal as are Island retail networks.

Simon Kneen, Chief Executive of IOMPO, said: 'We are pleased that our contingency plans have worked effectively and we would like to thank our customers for their patience and understanding during the disruption to service yesterday.

'I would like to reiterate my thanks to our staff who have shown great flexibility, professionalism and teamwork during this situation.'

IOMPO is expecting tonight’s airmail to leave the Island on schedule.
