IOMPO issue postal services update following security incident

Postal services have been affected following an incident at the IOM Post Office Headquarters this morning.

 

The Spring Valley Industrial Estate building will remain closed until further notice.

 

IOMPO said that robust contingency plans are in place and are being regularly reviewed throughout the day. 

 

In a statement, the company said: 'IOMPO wish to apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused, and wish to advise that further updates will be available via our website www.iompost.com and on our social media pages on Facebook and Twitter.'

 

The following services have been affected:

 

  • No notice left collections available from Postal Headquarters 
  • No access to Postal Headquarters for PO Box customers
  • The post boxes at Postal Headquarters are closed
  • There are no IM1-4 letter or parcels deliveries today
  • No business collections
  • There will be no post box collections today (north collections unaffected)
  • No mail will leave the Island tonight 
  • No IMS services today

 

 

Services unaffected:

 

  • Mail deliveries in the north, south and west of the Island are as normal today
  • All parcels already processed before the evacuation of Postal Headquarters this morning will be delivered this afternoon including a full Yodel delivery
  • Other postal services can be accessed via our Island-wide Retail Network which is open as normal (apart from the customer counter at Postal Headquarters)
  • The nearest post offices are located in Anagh Coar and Union Mills 
  • The dedicated licensing counter, located in the Isle of Man Business Park, remains open.
