The Isle of Man Home of Rest for Old Horses will be switching on their Xmas lights tonight.
From 4pm the illuminations will be on for all to see, with opening hours between 4-8pm weekdays and 10am-4pm weekends until 23rd December.
There will be a live broadcast by Energy FM on Saturday 14th December during the Christmas Experience, offering games in the stables, prizes from Manx Telecom and more.
The Home of Rest began in 1950 by two sisters, Mrs Mildred Royston and her sister Miss May Kermode, who had seen the way many of the old working horses around the Island, and so decided to try and help.
More information about how to get to the Home of Rest for Old Horses and the history of the organisation can be found here.
