Late benefits due to email fault, says Treasury Minister

The Treasury Minister announced in Tynwald today that the benefits which were delayed for some residents last week was due to an email sent incorrectly.

Alf Cannan MHK made the announcement during today's sitting in Douglas, after being questioned by Speaker of the House of Keys, Juan Watterson SHK.

Mr Cannan responded by stating that the 13 people who did not receive payments were given a £100 emergency support.

The Treasury Minister also said that work was being taken to ensure something similar would not happen again in the future.
