Free buses, polling stations, National Ins. and Lezayre Rd on HOK agenda

Tue, 03 Dec 2019

Questions will be asked in the House of Keys today regarding tree planting, free buses on Douglas Prom, number plate technology, polling stations, Castletown's new school, school meals and nursing homes.

Three oral questions are being put forward by Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper - he's asking Treasury Minister Alf Cannan MHK why Tynwald are waiting for the UK to implement their own National Insurance before Manx reform; how many passengers use the free Douglas Prom bus service and what the impact has been on regular buses; and when the public consultation on polling stations will be launched.

Mr Hooper is also asking three questions for written answer, one for DOI Minister Ray Harmer MHK about the results of the monitoring of Lezayre Road since the new road layout was introduced.

The sitting is due to take place at the Legislative Buildings in Douglas from 10am.

Mr Hooper spoke to Energy FM about why he's asking his question about the free bus service in Douglas:
