Planning app submitted to convert The Ship Inn into residential property

Plans to convert a former pub in Castletown into a residential property have been submitted.

Dawn Collins wants to transform what was The Ship Inn into a home and asking for registered building consent to do so.

The public house, previously owned by Heron and Brearley, closed in 2013, and had first been called The Hope and Anchor on opening in 1851 and The Railway in 1893 until changing to The Ship Inn from 1971.

Ms Collins wants to build a home cinema room and terrace extension overlooking Castletown Harbour.
