Witness appeal to dangerous driving

Fri, 29 Nov 2019

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward who may have seen a car driving dangerously in Douglas this week.

A complaint was made on Wednesday 27th November to officers, reporting a blue Nissan Mirca heading in the direction of Douglas between 12:30pm and 1pm on Cooil Road, Braddan.

Police say the car had two near misses, one with a small black vehicle and one with a cyclist.

The driver of the black vehicle is described as a young female with long, dark hair, who police are stressing would be a witness to the incident and not suspected of wrongdoing.

Anyone with information that could assist are asked to contact the investigation office, PC Sophie Dvorakova, at Douglas Police Headquarters on 631212.

Police are reminding drivers to be kind and considerate to other road users, including pedestrians and cyclists.
