PAG meeting on fossil fuel divestment next week

A public meeting will take place next week to talk about divestment against fossil fuels.

Positive Action Group are hosting a presentation held by Louise Whitelegg of Christian Aid and IOM Student Climate Network's Archibald Eliot at the Manx Legion on Monday 25th November at 7:30pm.

The talk will be explaining what divestment is and what public money is currently being invested into for fossil fuel revenue.

It follows the IOM Government's agreement to grant a gas exploration licence in Manx waters, with members of the public objecting amidst a global climate emergency.
