Resurfacing works close numerous rural roads from Monday

The Department of Infrastructure has announced numerous resurfacing works will take place from Monday.
Rural roads affected include Gleneedle Road, Staarvey Road and Ballavargher Road in St John’s, Clay Head Road in Baldrine, Cornaa Road and Rhenab Road in Glen Mona, Baldhoon Road in Laxey and Druidale Road in Ballaugh
Preparatory work will take place from Monday 18th November, including ditching, hedge-cutting, tree-lopping and other maintenance activities ahead of the resurfacing works which will begin on Monday 2nd December.
Road closures will be required at all the locations due to restricted road widths and these will be advertised in advance and on Roadwatch.
Closures will be from 9am to 4.30pm Monday-Saturday - the first site will be Gleneedle Road.
Advanced warning signage will be provided and the contractor will contact local residents and businesses before work starts on each section.
