Mark Cavendish has sustained minor injuries afrer crashing in the opening of the Ghent Day Six in Belgium.
The Manx Missile came off his bike during the time trial lap, withdrawing from the remainder of Tuesday's racing.
The 34-year-old cyclist has been paired with Iljo Kisse, who has won the Ghent Day Six seven times.
Belgian racer Gerben Thijssen was taken to intensive care following a heavy crash during the first night of racing.
